In a remarkable gesture of generosity and inclusiveness, Hon. Moruf Tosin Ibrahim, popularly known as Hon. Murphy, has distributed over 300 bags of rice alongside cash gifts to Muslim faithful and party stakeholders across Akoko North Federal Constituency in celebration of this year’s Eid al-Adha (Ileya) festival.
The distribution exercise, held ahead of the festive celebration, was aimed at supporting constituents during the joyous period and promoting unity, love, and communal harmony among the people.
Beneficiaries of the outreach included Muslim faithful, widows, youths, and party stakeholders drawn from different wards within the constituency.
For years, people who had been contesting in our area had never been kind like this before. A man will lose out in a primary election and, just weeks later, organise and celebrate Eid al-Adha with the people by giving them rice and cash.
This has never happened before in the history of our constituency,” he said.
Alhaji Isaka described the gesture as a true demonstration of love for the people beyond politics, noting that Hon. Murphy’s humanitarian efforts have continued to earn him respect and admiration across the constituency.
Represented by Daudu Ayoola, popularly known as Ayowealth, Hon. Murphy reaffirmed his commitment to the welfare and well-being of the people irrespective of political affiliation or religious background.
He emphasized that leadership is about service, sacrifice, and extending support to the people, especially during important religious celebrations such as Eid al-Adha.
The initiative has continued to attract commendations from religious leaders, community elders, youths, and party faithful, who described the gesture as a reflection of compassion, selfless service, and responsible leadership.
