OSRC Media DG Hails Faduyile’s Emergence as APC Ondo South Candidate, Calls It Victory for Collaborative Democracy
The Director General and Chief Executive of OSRC Media Group, Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson, has described the outcome of the All Progressives Congress primary for the Ondo South Senatorial District rerun as a milestone for participatory democracy and collective political will in the district.
In a congratulatory message issued Sunday, Odusola-Stevenson said the conduct and result of the shadow election affirmed that purposeful collaboration remains the surest path to advancing the interests of Ondo South. He noted that the overwhelming support extended to Prof. Dayo Faduyile, OON, during the primary reflected the confidence of party members in his capacity to consolidate ongoing legislative work in the 10th Senate.
Odusola-Stevenson commended Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for fostering an atmosphere conducive to a transparent and inclusive primary process. He stated that the governor’s leadership provided a level playing field that strengthened democratic practice within the party and reinforced public trust in internal party mechanisms.
The media chief also paid tribute to the immediate past senator for Ondo South, Amb. Dr. Jimoh Ibrahim, CFR, acknowledging his foundational contributions and quality representation in the 10th Senate. He said Faduyile’s acceptance of the party’s mandate carried with it the responsibility to build upon that legacy with diligence and statesmanship.
Describing the primary as a demonstration of the APC’s institutional resilience, Odusola-Stevenson urged all aspirants and stakeholders to close ranks ahead of the June by-election. He emphasized that the true measure of the process lay not in individual ambition but in the party’s ability to present a united front in support of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
“As we prepare for the by-election, the task before every party member is clear: to ensure continuity, stability, and effective representation for Ondo South,” he said. “The victory recorded at the primary belongs to the entire APC family, and it is this collective spirit that will carry us forward.”
Odusola-Stevenson concluded by congratulating Faduyile on his emergence as the party’s candidate and expressed confidence that his representation would advance the developmental aspirations of the district.
The Ondo South Senatorial District rerun election is scheduled for June 2026 to complete the term vacated by Amb. Jimoh Ibrahim in the 10th Senate.
