Wike Reveals Past Political Plot Against Gbajabiamila, Praises Him as “Good Man”
Nyesom Wike has made a revealing statement about past political manoeuvres during the emergence of former House of Representatives Speaker Femi Gbajabiamila.
Wike said he was once part of efforts aimed at preventing Gbajabiamila from becoming Speaker, explaining that the objective at the time was politically motivated and intended to make the process difficult for his party.
According to him
I was one of those who plotted that you should not become Speaker, because my business at that time was not to help your party. My business was to make you uncomfortable.
It was in the government lodge in Abuja when we plotted that you should not go through. The PDP people and governors sold me out and supported you, even when we had agreed as a party that Femi Gbajabiamila should not go. They went back and supported you.
