Tinubu Sleeps As Late As 3:00 a.m. Because Of The Enormous Responsibilities Before Him–Oluremi Tinubu
According to a report by Nigerian Tribune on Sunday, May 31, 2026, Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has assured Nigerians that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu remains firmly committed to restoring security across the country through a combination of strengthened internal security operations and strategic partnerships with foreign nations.
She gave the assurance during a meeting with the Ekiti State Council of Traditional Rulers in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital, as part of her one-day working visit to the state, where she addressed key issues affecting national security and governance.
Senator Tinubu disclosed that the Federal Government is currently working closely with several developed countries, including the United States, to address terrorism, kidnapping, banditry, and other security challenges confronting different parts of the country.
She explained that these collaborations are aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s capacity to respond to evolving security threats while improving intelligence sharing and operational effectiveness in combating criminal activities.
While speaking to the traditional rulers, the First Lady described the ongoing incidents of kidnapping, banditry, and violent attacks in some regions as deeply concerning.
She emphasized that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is making sustained efforts to ensure the protection of lives and property across the nation.
According to her, the administration is treating security as a top priority and is committed to restoring peace and stability in affected communities.
She further noted that although significant efforts are being made by the government to address insecurity, some of the strategies being implemented cannot be disclosed to the public due to their sensitive nature.
She explained that certain operational details must remain classified in order to protect ongoing security operations and prevent compromise by criminal elements.
Her remarks underscored the need for discretion in handling national security matters.
She said, “Challenges will come, but collectively we can tackle them. I can assure you that the President is working round the clock to get this matter resolved. Sometimes, he sleeps as late as 3:00 a.m. because of the enormous responsibilities before him.Let us continue to pray for our country.”
