According to an official statement released by Trump on his verified social media platform, Truth Social on Tuesday, Pulte will simultaneously retain his powerhouse economic roles as the Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) and Chairman of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac while overseeing the nation’s sprawling spy networks.

“William has deep experience managing the most sensitive matters in America, the safety and soundness of the Markets, and over 10 Trillion Dollars at Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, a substantial increase from where it was just 12 months ago.”

The dual-hatting arrangement means Pulte will balance the oversight of Wall Street’s mortgage-backed securities alongside the daily highly classified threat briefings gathered by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), National Security Agency (NSA), and 16 other federal intelligence components.
