DEMOCRACY DAY MESSAGE FROM HON. ESAN OWOLABI, EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN, AKOKO NORTH WEST LOCAL GOVERNMENT
My dear people of Akoko North West,
As we join millions of Nigerians in celebrating this year’s Democracy Day, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to every resident of our local government.
Democracy Day reminds us of our collective journey as a nation and the sacrifices made by many patriots to ensure that the voice of the people remains the foundation of governance. It is a day to reflect on our progress, appreciate our democratic freedoms, and renew our commitment to building a better society for all.
While we celebrate, we must also acknowledge the security challenges facing our communities and the nation at large. The safety of lives and property remains a priority, and I want to assure our people that we will continue to support every effort aimed at maintaining peace and security across Akoko North West.
I urge all residents to remain vigilant, law-abiding, and cooperative with security agencies. Community security is a shared responsibility, and together we can help create a safer environment for everyone. Let us continue to provide useful information to the appropriate authorities and support initiatives that promote peace and unity.
As your Chairman, I remain committed to delivering good governance, promoting development, and working closely with all stakeholders to improve the well-being of our people.
On this Democracy Day, let us celebrate with hope, unity, and a renewed determination to move our local government and our nation forward.
