**OGBAGI AKOKO, ONDO STATE – June 11, 2026** – The All Progressives Congress (APC) recorded a significant victory today as over 500 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Action People’s Movement (APM) officially defected to the ruling party in Ogbagi Akoko. The event marks a major consolidation of support for the APC and the influential BTO Political Family in the region.

The defection was orchestrated by Hon. Bankole Mohammed, Legislative Aide to Hon. Ifeoluwa Ehindero (Member representing Akoko North East/Akoko North West Federal Constituency), and spearheaded by prominent grassroots leader Chief Ogunleye Adeniyi, popularly known as “Ajiroba.”

In his address, Chief Ajiroba cited the transformative leadership of the Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, as the primary catalyst for the move. He praised Dr. Tunji-Ojo’s developmental initiatives and the BTO Political Family’s dedication to human capital development and citizen empowerment.
