Sunday Igboho, Team Deploy Drone in Search for ∆bducted Schoolchildren in Old Oyo National Park
Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, and members of his team have reportedly intensified efforts to locate the schoolchildren allegedly abducted in Oyo State by deploying drone technology to comb parts of the Old Oyo National Park.
According to reports circulating on social media, Igboho and his associates were seen conducting aerial surveillance operations within the vast forest reserve as part of ongoing efforts to track down the whereabouts of the missing children and facilitate their safe rescue.
Videos and photographs shared online showed members of the search team operating drones over dense forest areas believed to be possible hideouts for criminal elements. The development has attracted widespread attention, with many Nigerians commending the initiative and expressing hope that the operation could provide useful intelligence to security agencies.
The Old Oyo National Park, which stretches across parts of Oyo State and neighboring areas, is known for its expansive terrain and thick vegetation, making it a challenging environment for search and rescue operations.
The incident has further heightened concerns over insecurity and kidnapping in parts of the country, particularly in rural communities where schools and residents have increasingly become targets of criminal gangs.
Many Nigerians continue to call for stronger collaboration between local communities, security agencies, and relevant stakeholders to ensure the safe recovery of the children and prevent similar incidents in the future.
