Caught at a Motor Park: Alleged K!dnappers Recognized by Former V!ctim in Benue

A dramatic scene unfolded at Ihotu Motor Park in Benue State after a young woman reportedly identified some of the men who had previously kidnapped her and collected ransom from her family before securing her release.

According to reports shared by Tunde Segun, the suspected kidnappers had arrived at the park intending to board a vehicle to Makurdi. Unaware that fate was about to catch up with them, they allegedly encountered one of their former victims at the park.Language Resources

The young woman reportedly recognized the suspects immediately. What made the situation even more shocking was that the men were said to be carrying a bag that had been taken from her during her captivity.

Without hesitation, the woman raised an alarm, drawing the attention of other passengers and park operators.

In the ensuing commotion, she reportedly managed to hold on to one of the suspects inside the vehicle, while two others attempted to flee the scene.
However, the fleeing suspects were pursued and apprehended by members of the public.

Further raising suspicion, a search reportedly uncovered a Ghana-Must-Go bag containing approximately ₦11 million at the back of the vehicle. The discovery intensified interest in the case and attracted the attention of security agencies.

The manager of Ihotu Park immediately contacted security operatives. Soldiers and police officers arrived at the scene and took custody of the suspects, preventing any breakdown of law and order.

The woman who identified the suspects reportedly accompanied security personnel to provide a statement and assist with investigations.

Sources further claim that the Governor of Benue State has expressed interest in the case and reportedly contacted the state’s Commissioner of Police regarding the development. The suspects have since been transferred to Makurdi for further investigation.Law Enforcement
