Falaiye Sets Education, Youth Empowerment as Priorities for Ondo Central Development

Education, Youth Empowerment Top Gbenga Falaiye’s Agenda for Ondo Central

Hon. Gbenga Falaiye, the candidate of the New Democratic Congress (NDC) for Ondo Central Senatorial District, has unveiled an ambitious people centred agenda with education, youth empowerment and human capital development as key priorities of his legislative vision.

Falaiye said that meaningful development in Ondo Central must begin with deliberate investment in its people, particularly young people and students, who represent the future of the senatorial district.

He stressed that quality education and economic empowerment remain essential tools for building a productive, prosperous and self reliant society.

As part of his education agenda, Falaiye pledged to advocate initiatives that would improve access to quality education across Ondo Central. He intends to support efforts aimed at improving learning environments, facilitating the provision of educational materials and promoting better opportunities for students in public institutions.

He also plans to pursue scholarship and educational support programmes for brilliant but financially disadvantaged students across the senatorial district, with the aim of ensuring that economic circumstances do not deprive deserving young people of the opportunity to achieve their academic ambitions.

According to Falaiye, education should not be viewed merely as a social service but as a strategic investment in the future of Ondo Central. He believes that empowering citizens through knowledge and skills will strengthen the local economy, improve productivity and create a generation capable of providing innovative solutions to the challenges confronting the region.

Beyond education, the NDC candidate has placed youth and women empowerment at the centre of his development agenda.

He plans to advocate and facilitate skills acquisition programmes, vocational training, entrepreneurship initiatives, business support, grants and start up opportunities for young people and women across the senatorial district.

Falaiye further emphasised the importance of connecting young people with opportunities in technology, agriculture, creative industries, vocational enterprises and small businesses, noting that practical skills and access to capital can transform unemployed youths into employers of labour.

He maintained that effective representation must go beyond legislation and political promises, stressing that a senator should actively pursue policies, programmes and interventions capable of improving the lives of constituents.

With his emphasis on education, youth empowerment, entrepreneurship and human capital development, Hon. Gbenga Falaiye is positioning his candidacy around a vision of an Ondo Central where young people have the knowledge, skills and opportunities needed to build sustainable livelihoods and contribute meaningfully to the development of the senatorial district.
